Director of Operations

Adam has a degree in Operations Management from Kansas State University. He currently manages 3 clinics, Ridgeview Animal Hospital in Omaha, Walnut Creek Veterinary Clinic in Papillion and our newest clinic, Skyline Veterinary Clinic in Elkhorn, NE. He is married to Joanne, who is owner of Ridgeview Animal Hospital in Omaha. They have 5 children: Jack, Lucy, Vivien, Jay, and Eddie. Their family pets are a cat- Mellie, a Border Collie/ Shepherd mix named Tex who was rescued from a shelter in Dallas.


LVT, Practice Administrator

Shannon is a licensed veterinary technician, graduated from NCTA and has been with us since 2001. Her technical skills are incredible! She is knowledgeable and friendly. She transitioned into the administrative role at Ridgeview Animal Hospital in 2012. Dr. Gaines and Shannon worked together prior to opening Ridgeview. She has two dachshunds; Stella, and Roxie. She and her husband, Jay, have three sons; Gavin, Malik, and Brayden. Shannon is the Practice Administrator for Ridgeview, Walnut Creek Veterinary Clinic, and Skyline Veterinary Clinic.


LVT, Clinic Manager

Melissa Peterson is a Fremont native & obtained her Associate of Applied Science Degree from Vatterott College in 2009.She completed her externship at our sister clinic Ridgeview Animal Hospital and joined the Walnut Creek staff as a Licensed Technician in March of 2010 before transitioning to Skyline Veterinary Clinic in January of 2016 as an LVT/Administrative Assistant. In addition to teching, Melissa enjoys fishing, softball and being outdoors. She also is a diehard Husker fan!! She currently resides in Omaha with her husband Grant, their son Waylon, and their fuzzy kids Daphne, Janis, Roxie & Kitler.




Student Veterinary Assistant

Caitlin is originally from Iowa and is currently working towards getting her veterinary technician degree through PennFoster. Caitlin, her husband and their new baby boy William love spending time with their dog (Kincaid) and cat (Suki). Caitlin and her husband also are active fosters with a local resuce, Hands Hearts and Paws. Her hobbies include reading, fishing and spending time with family. 



Client Care Specialist 

Janine and her husband, Neal, have three dogs, Oliver and Raegan (Papillions) and Max (Chihuahua) and two cats, Bam Bam and Suki (Siamese).   She came to us from a local practice and is a perfect fit to our team! She started in August 2012 at our sister clinic Ridgeview Animal Hospital and just transferred out to Skyline August 1st 2016, we are very excited to have her!



Licensed Veterinary Technician

Pattie has been passionate about animals since birth working with them in numerous capacities ultimately becoming a Veterinary Technician. In 2012 She graduated from the Argosy University Veterinary Technician program in Minnesota where she is originally from.

After an internship at the Henry Doorly Zoo’s hospital, Pattie worked at The Animal Emergency Clinic for three years. Hired for Skyline, Pattie trained at Ridgeview Animal Hospital and then moved to Skyline Veterinary Clinic in the fall of 2016. She is looking forward to growing with Skyline and getting to know the Elkhorn community. With her ongoing dedication for learning she is currently working toward a specialization in clinical medicine through the Academy of Veterinary Technicians in Clinical Practice.

Pattie and her husband of three years share their home with quite the menagerie: two of the most adorable schnorkies (Tristan & Eleanor), four long haired cats (Orpheus, Tabitha, Meiko & Clementine) who love spending time on their catio, a ball python (Clara) who’d rather be left alone, a corn snake (Chiyo) who loves to snuggle and a rather grumpy hedgehog (Frankenspine). In her free time Pattie enjoys cooking, reading, writing, and going on weekend adventures with her husband.


Student Veterinary Assistant

Megan has been a flexible team member lending a hand at the front desk with client care specialist duties as well as caring for patients in the back as a student veterinary assistant. She is currently attending Iowa Western and working toward becoming a veterinary technician. As a Pit Bull lover, Megan has one of her own named Sebastian and a cat named Cleo. Outside of the office she enjoys playing volleyball.
